LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY

OZWRAPS™ Spray-On Paint Protection Film (PPF) High Gloss, Satin and matte finish

This warranty is provided exclusively to trade purchasers and certified installers and does not create any direct contractual rights between OZWRAPS Pty Ltd and end customers. Installer partners are responsible for providing customers with appropriate installation and workmanship coverage.  

1. Scope of Warranty

OZWRAPS warrants that the product, at the time of manufacture, is free from material defects in formulation and production.

This warranty covers only verified manufacturing defects, including:

  • spontaneous film delamination between coating layers not caused by external factors
  • cohesive failure of the cured film under normal road use
  • abnormal discoloration directly attributable to manufacturing defect (not environmental exposure)
  • cracking or structural breakdown of the coating film not caused by impact, abrasion, chemical exposure, or incorrect application

This warranty applies for a period of 2 years from the date of application, subject to the conditions set out below.

2. Application Conditions (Strict Requirement)

This warranty is strictly conditional upon correct application, including:

  • application to OEM painted surfaces only
  • paint must be fully cured prior to application
  • surface must be free from waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings, silicones, or similar surface treatments
  • surface must be inspected and accepted as suitable prior to application
  • minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns must be achieved through correct number of coats as per application guidelines
  • application must be performed by a competent installer following OZWRAPS guidelines

A compatibility test patch must be performed on an inconspicuous area prior to full application. The installer must assess and confirm no adverse reaction before proceeding.

If any of the above conditions are not met, this warranty is void.

3. Pre-Existing Surface Conditions

OZWRAPS is not responsible for performance issues caused by or associated with:

  • prior repainting, resprays, or panel repairs (whether disclosed or undisclosed)
  • hidden surface contamination or previous coating systems
  • poor-quality OEM or aftermarket paintwork
  • any substrate condition not reasonably detectable at time of installation

The installer’s visual inspection and acceptance of the surface constitutes reasonable assessment of suitability.

4. Normal Wear and Expected Behaviour

The product is a sacrificial protective coating. Normal and expected changes include:

  • gradual gloss reduction over time
  • light surface marking, micro-scratching, or swirl patterns
  • environmental weathering (UV, heat, humidity, cold cycles)
  • appearance changes consistent with normal vehicle use

5. Exclusions (Not Covered Under Any Circumstances)

This warranty does not cover:

  • incorrect or non-professional application
  • post-application interference or modification
  • insufficient film build below the minimum recommended dry film thickness of 150 microns resulting from inadequate coat application
  • additional coatings, waxes, sealants, or detailing products applied over the film
  • improper washing methods, abrasive cleaning, or high-pressure washing at close range
  • chemical exposure including solvents, fuel, industrial cleaners, or unapproved products
  • physical damage (stone chips, scratches, impacts, accidents)
  • environmental extremes or abnormal use
  • introduction of pigments, powders, tints, dyes, or colour additives into the product
  • application of 1K/2K systems, waxes, sealants, or any non-approved detailing products over the film
  • motorsport, off-road, track use, or commercial abuse
  • unknown or undisclosed vehicle history

6. Post-Application Responsibility

Once applied and accepted:

  • responsibility for maintenance and environmental exposure transfers to the customer
  • OZWRAPS is not responsible for external changes or third-party actions
  • any modification or interference voids warranty coverage

7. Claim Requirements

Any claim must include:

  • proof of purchase
  • application date
  • installer details
  • photographic evidence
  • confirmation of application conditions
  • confirmation of application date, supported by job invoice, customer receipt, or other verifiable documentation. Where application date cannot be verified, the warranty period will be deemed to commence 30 days from the date of purchase.

OZWRAPS may inspect or request further information before determining eligibility.

8. Remedy Limitation

If approved, liability is limited to:

  • replacement of defective product material only

OZWRAPS is not responsible for:

  • labour costs
  • removal or reapplication
  • vehicle damage
  • loss of use, time, income, or consequential losses

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OZWRAPS Pty Ltd excludes all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use or application.

Total liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product supplied for the relevant application.

Nothing excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

10. No Third-Party Authority

No installer or distributor may modify or extend this warranty. Any variation must be confirmed in writing by OZWRAPS Pty Ltd.

11. Governing Principle

Warranty is based on:

  • correct application by approved installer
  • suitable substrate condition
  • appropriate maintenance
  • normal environmental use

If these conditions are not met or cannot be verified, warranty does not apply.
